Offline Maps (Google Maps vs Maps.me)

When traveling, especially in another country, we will find difficulties to get internet connection. If we lucky, we will get free wifi. Using international roaming for internet connection will be very costly. for that reason I prefer to use offline maps, because for a new people in new place maps will be very helpfull. I like to use Google Maps Offline and Maps.me on my smartphone (Android). which one is better?

Google Maps

Google Maps is very common maps that most people use it.

we can download this map for offline use. chose Offline areas in the Google Maps Menu, the bad things about this offline maps is not all areas is available (permitted) to be download, for example some area in south korea.

MAPS.ME

Another my favorite offline maps is Maps.me, we can download it in the Google Play.

we can chose area (city/country) that we want to download, for example Germany.

We will need 2.5 GB disk space to donwload all of Germany Maps, if we have limited space on our smartphone, we can choose which region (town) that we can donwload:

Some time the detail maps (Maps.me) is not as good as in the Google Maps.
